 Does you B2B platform have an easy to navigate, less complex admin dash board that will allow a new user to understand the operations and manage the processes easily?

 Does the B2B platform have individual dashboards for buyers so that dealing with your company is quick and efficient?

 If you are operating a B2B marketplace, does your platform have individual seller dashboards that allow them to upload their products, market it and engage with buyers?

Inventory & Order management:

There are basically two types of B2B platform vendors- having pre-built Inventory, order & invoice management modules in their platform & those that allow third party integrations.

 Is your platform capable of handling the inventory & order process of your B2B business?

 Does it have a pre-built system in the platform for inventory, order & accounts (invoice) management?

 Is it capable of integrating your existing ERP systems (inventory, accounting, order management) to the platform?

 Does your B2B Ecommerce platform provide support to drop shipping businesses?

Negotiation:

This may not be a typical feature for many B2B businesses, but most B2B business do provide differential pricing for customers. Hence negotiation tools would become handy.

 Does your Ecommerce platform allow buyers with a price request option from seller/s?

 Does your Ecommerce platform allow sellers to provide quantity price offers to buyers?

Does your B2B Ecommerce platform allow sellers to respond to buyer price request ?

Though the checkout process should be as smooth as that for B2C ecommerce, the underlying back end process should be able to

 Is your B2B platform optimized for single-step checkout engineered for speed and simplicity and handling all the complex PO and invoice related requirements of regularly trading customers?

 Does your checkout require a “bill me later” or “avail on credit” facility?

If credit or bill later facility is required is the platform able to define the work flow for such process and create invoices or proof of order for future order processing?

 Has your checkout been integrated major payment gateways of different regions that you wish to operate in?

Marketing:

Marketing capabilities of the platform range from SEO, personalised targeting and remarketing. All Marketing and targeting activities on an ecommerce platform are enhanced with the help of a consumer analytics that provide insights on purchase behaviour, spending pattern, purchase history etc. for individual customers as well as a group of customers.

 Does your B2B platform have a separate analytics dashboard?

 Does your B2B platform adhere to SEO best practices for all your product and listing pages?

Is your platform capable of customer segmentation?

 Is your B2B platform capable of automated email marketing reminders?

 Is your B2B platform capable of Targeted Promotions?

 Re order processing:

Most B2B orders are recurring and hence the process of re-ordering must be made as easy as possible.

 Is your B2B platform capable of a one-step reorder processing for recurring customers or regular stock replenishments?

 Can your B2B platform track previous orders and provide suggestions, discounted quantity pricing etc for recurring customers?

Is your B2B platform capable of subscription commerce?

Integrations

This should be important a consideration as integrating existing systems to your ecommerce model is always not an easy task. Also as your business grows you would require to use other tools & applications to enhance the productivity of your business, your platform should not be a hindrance that prevents you from choosing other productivity tools.

 Does your platform support fast and easy integrations with third-party solutions?

 Is your B2b Ecommerce platform capable of providing additional functionality through Add-on Modules or third party integrations as and when your business grows?

Does your Ecommerce platform have a list of software’s and applications which can be integrated or does it provide unconditional support to any type of integrations?
